Did you hear about the 2-inch vintage Boba Fett?
This one slipped by us, as well as many other collectors. When Gentle Giant announced this year’s holiday exclusive would be a jumbo sized Yoda, inspired by the Lucasfilm Christmas card by Ralph McQuarrie years ago, they had a surprise in store for customers.
Along with the Yoda, sculpted in the vintage style of Kenner toys, came a fully articulated Boba Fett – that is a miniature version his vintage design and also on a vintage card. The clam shell is specially designed to be opened and closed – for those on card collectors.
The Holiday Yoda sold for $80, but the Boba Fett is now going for $100 or more on third-party websites. I’m sure many of us will be kicking ourselves for missing out on this awesome Boba Fett collectible.
